Your motivations and qualifications
- You have 9/10th grade exam or equivalent + grade 02 in Danish and math
- Good at IT and physics
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Interest in electrical installations
Job tasks
Electricians can also act as consultants regarding electrical solutions, and depending on your specialty field you can also work with automation and robots or wind turbines at offshore installations.
The programme
The training programme consists of various components and training can take between 3 and 5 years.
You can choose to train to become Electrician 1, which solely focuses on installation. If you want a broader training choose Electrician 2, where you also work with alarms, communication networks and robotics.
Throughout the program, you learn how electrical installations and systems work. You will also learn how to install and maintain computer controlled power systems such as computer and industrial robots.
Note that you can also take the training as EUX, which provide you with a vocational training as well as an upper secondary education.
